Decoding Pre-Production: AI's Impact on Making Ideas Real
Embracing the AI wave at DWARS has been a game-changer in our pre-production workflow for video content. No longer tangled in the old-school chaos of references and storyboards, our creative process has evolved, thanks to cutting-edge tools like Midjourney and Dall-E.
Gone are the days of waiting for a storyboard artist's sketches. With Midjourney and Dall-E, we swiftly convert conceptual ideas into visual assets, gaining quicker client approvals. Take, for instance, the music video we crafted for Ketnet, seamlessly blending reference shots and AI-generated images to articulate our creative vision. This approach doesn’t only make it faster, it also helps to get on the same page with clients from the early start of the project.
Venturing beyond visuals, we're exploring the wild realm of text-to-video and image-to-video applications like Pika Labs and Runway ML. While these tools are a bit on the untamed side, the results are undeniably mind-blowing. We're keeping tabs on their progress, ready to incorporate them in our treatments when the time is right.
And who says your copy can't vibe with your video? Enter AI voice overs—our not-so-secret weapon. Thanks to Eleven Labs voices, we're refining call-to-actions and copywriting in the pre-production stage. This tool allows us to reduce the amount of feedback rounds with the actual human voice over. It can also fasten up the video editing because the AI voice can be used as a reference for the editor.
At DWARS we are embracing the possibilities of the AI revolution, but not without a watchful eye on the potential pitfalls. As we ride this wave, the challenge lies in striking a balance between innovation and the preservation of the nuanced, intricate aspects that define true creativity. We'll let the human touch lead, using AI as the secret sauce to elevate and visualize ideas, all for the greater benefit of our clients.
